Seychelles : Welcome to the Seychelles Gallery. This Gallery includes over 1000 photos from the island of Mahe, Seychelles. I spent three days on the island exploring during my recent Deployment. If you enjoy these photos please leave a comment or send an email. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Each photo was uploaded as a JPG @ 100% quality. File sizes range from 5 to 7 meg. All photos were taken with a Nikon D2x in Raw @ 12mpix and then converted in Adobe Lightroom to JPEGs, some images were adjusted for white balance and a high contrast curve. You’ll also see a few sets of sunset pictures, I tend to bracket sunsets, I usually end up with four or five great pictures, but I only included ones that I consider 3 stars or better. So again please enjoy the Seychelles Gallery.

Bahrain : During A recent Visit to Bahrain, A group of us made a trip to the Tree of life; this solitary 400 year old Mesquite tree is the only visible sign of life, with no identifiable source of water. The only things that surround the tree are a few scattered buildings associated with oil production. The tree is full of people’s signatures, and writings, in a number of languages. I hope you enjoy the images of this earthly wonder.

Israel : This was my second Visit to the Holy Lands, and each time I visit, I don't want to leave. The Israeli people are so very welcoming, from excellent cuisine, to the Historic locations of Nazareth, Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, and the River Jordan. Israel is a must see in person destination. If your worried about safety, don't, I felt incredibly safe, even during evening and after dark, the city, the people and the culture of so very welcoming, and I have to toss in a plug to the Irish House, Fantastic food, great friends and good drink.

Spain : My recent visit to Rota, Spain was to use a quote of one of my companions, "very much like a corona commercial" a very relaxing and enjoyable city, with plenty of night life, and a top notch beach and plenty of historic locations for photography. A walking tour is a must; I must have traveled every street in the city three or more times, each with a different result. The Atlantic Ocean sunsets are spectacular.

Spring Day : One might think that you have to travel to get the photos your looking for. In this case it was walking out my front door, our rhododendron being in full bloom, has been attracting bee’s for the past few days, I had a nice low on the horizon sun, so I pulled out the camera and the family sat outside while I took 600 pictures, here’s my favorites I hope you enjoy them.

Squirrely : A lazy Sunday, 5 furry critters who like steeling bird seed from the feeder, and nowhere to go, so here are a few of the photos I took of our friends. I didn't get any this week end with them in the bird feeder, one of them has actually figured out how to open the lid, I'll work on it. I took these from inside our house, I opened up the lower portion of the screen on the storm door, and sat there with my d2 on a monopod, After sitting there all day they started to get used to me sitting there, even with my little girl taking pictures with her camera and flash, they didn't seem to bothered. I hope you enjoy this Squirrely set of photos, I had a good time taking them.
